Mabel Bassett Correctional Facility has over 80 women in over 15 small groups. We have
implemented the new position of Small Group coordinator. One for each side of the facility to
enable more support and accountability between monthly mandatories.
Our new chaplain, David Shaner, has assisted our growing group of faith-filled
ladies. We had three new volunteers go through training in August. Judy Wood, Carrie Wood,
and Janet Chaffin. They will join Penny Mahan, June Williams, and Carla Saarat as the
facility volunteers.
